A vigilant citizen and dedicated law student, Jayant actively champions disability rights issues by personally arguing cases before the Delhi High Court and the Supreme Court of India. His noteworthy experience also extends to arguing in person before the Hon’ble Chief Justice of India. Jayant focuses on a myriad of disability rights issues, ranging from infrastructure inaccessibility at educational institutions and public places to concerns about housing complexes, disability pensions, and the inclusion of a column for persons with disabilities in nomination forms for elections. With over 5 years of experience in the field, Jayant demonstrates exceptional skills in organization, time management, and effective team leadership. His outstanding communication abilities have been instrumental in building valuable relationships throughout his advocacy journey. Jayant’s commitment to Disability Rights is further evident through his founding membership of “Sugam,” a society for Persons with Disabilities. He actively participated in the Equal Opportunity Cell of Ram Lal Anand College, University of Delhi, for three years. Currently pursuing an LLB at the Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi, Jayant remains resolute in his dedication to creating a more inclusive and accessible world. His academic achievements include a BA (Hons) in English from Ram Lal Anand College, University of Delhi. During his undergraduate years, Jayant founded Bhumika Trust, a non-profit organization dedicated to working on disability and inclusion. With unwavering dedication, Jayant continues to make a positive impact as a Javed Abidi fellow at the National Centre for Promotion of Employment of Disabled People. Shubham Kumar - Vice President

Dedicated to enacting positive social change, Shubham is a passionate individual. He earned a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Delhi and is now pursuing a master's degree in economics at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). Shubham is committed to assisting disadvantaged communities and works persistently to empower and uplift people in need, in addition to his educational interests. He served as a dedicated member of the Equal Opportunity Cell at Ram Lal Anand College, University of Delhi, demonstrating a passionate commitment to fostering inclusivity within the academic community. Additionally, as Vice President of the Gandhi Study Circle at the same institution, he exhibited strong leadership, spearheading the organisation of various national and international seminars aimed at promoting the principles and values espoused by Mahatma Gandhi. Shubham indulges his love of reading in his spare time by reading a lot of books and collecting literary stuff. He believes in the transformative power of storytelling and aspires to be a part of narratives that inspire and spark larger-scale discussion.

Anupama Sinha - Special Educator

Anupama Sinha started her career as a special educator in a regular school. Later on worked in different capacities in different organisations. The most significant in recent times was at NAB India Centre where she made a significant contribution in training Blind girls detect early symptoms of Breast Cancer under the DH project. Besides being an active member in Bhumika Trust, she also runs an NGO exclusively meant to create employments for Blind Women.

Fuelled by his passion for narrative, Sushil embarked on a dual educational journey, pursuing a Masters in History while also immersing himself in the realms of screen acting and digital editing at the esteemed Tripura Film and Television Institute. This fusion of academic rigor and artistic exploration showcases his dedication to mastering multiple dimensions of his craft. Beyond the confines of academia and performance, Sushil's heart beats for social change. His involvement as a trustee in the Bhumika Trust underscores his commitment to uplifting underprivileged communities, demonstrating a profound sense of responsibility towards societal well-being. During the tumultuous times of the COVID-19 pandemic, Sushil didn't merely stand on the sidelines. As a volunteer in the National Service Scheme of Ram Lal Anand College, University of Delhi, he rolled up his sleeves, actively contributing to relief efforts and extending a helping hand to those in need. As the founding member and treasurer of Bhumika Trust, he serves as a linchpin, tirelessly advocating for change across various platforms. His unwavering commitment to Disability Rights shines through his founding involvement in “Sugam,” a society dedicated to empowering Persons with Disabilities. Not content with merely raising awareness, Mohan actively engages in the grassroots, as evidenced by his tenure as a member of the Equal Opportunity Cell at Ram Lal Anand College, University of Delhi, from 2019 to 2020. Within these hallowed halls of academia, Mohan not only pursued his academic endeavors but also worked tirelessly to ensure inclusivity for all. His academic journey, culminating in a BA Program from Ram Lal Anand College, University of Delhi, is marked by his tireless advocacy. It was during these formative years that Mohan planted the seeds of Bhumika Trust, a non-profit organization dedicated to dismantling barriers to inclusion for persons with disabilities.
